Cookie Policy

Last updated: 13 April 2026

1. Overview

We believe in minimal, transparent data collection. Aikraft uses only a small number of essential and functional cookies necessary to operate the platform and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party cookies designed to build a profile of your browsing behaviour across the web.

This policy explains exactly what cookies we set, why we set them, and how you can manage or remove them.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the site owner. Cookies can be "session cookies", which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent cookies", which remain on your device for a defined period or until you delete them.

Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser — we use these only for the same purposes as the functional cookies described below.

3. Cookies We Use

The following table lists every cookie Aikraft sets. There are no hidden cookies.

Cookie name Purpose Type Duration
aikraft_session Maintains your authenticated session after you log in. Without this cookie you would be logged out on every page load. Strictly necessary Session (deleted when browser closes)
aikraft_csrf A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection token. This prevents malicious websites from submitting forms or requests on your behalf without your knowledge. Strictly necessary Session (deleted when browser closes)
aikraft_prefs Stores your interface preferences, such as your chosen colour theme (light/dark), sidebar collapsed state, and table column widths, so they persist across sessions. Functional 1 year
aikraft_consent Records the choices you have made in our cookie preference centre so we do not ask you again on every visit. Functional 1 year

Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive because they are essential for the operation of the service you have explicitly requested. We set them on the basis of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Functional cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing a personalised and efficient user experience (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because these cookies serve only you and do not share data with third parties, we have determined that our legitimate interests are proportionate and do not override your privacy rights.

4. Analytics — Plausible

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our marketing website. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics tool built in the EU (hosted on Hetzner in Frankfurt, Germany).

Plausible is fundamentally different from tools like Google Analytics:

  • No cookies: Plausible does not set any cookies whatsoever. It does not use localStorage, fingerprinting, or any other tracking mechanism that persists across sessions.
  • No personal data: Your IP address is never stored. Plausible uses a daily-rotating salt to produce a non-reversible hash for counting unique visits; this hash cannot be traced back to you.
  • No cross-site tracking: All data belongs to us and is not shared with or sold to any third party.
  • No consent required: Because Plausible does not process personal data in identifiable form, no cookie consent banner is legally required for this tool under GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive.

You can view Plausible's own privacy documentation at plausible.io/data-policy.

5. What We Do Not Use

For the avoidance of doubt, Aikraft does not use any of the following:

  • Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager
  • Facebook Pixel or any Meta tracking tools
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind
  • Third-party social media share/like buttons that set cookies
  • Cross-site or cross-device tracking tools
  • Browser fingerprinting for tracking

6. Managing Cookies

You have several options for controlling cookies:

Browser settings

All modern browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Aikraft platform. Here are direct links to cookie management guides for common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

Opt-out of Plausible

Because Plausible does not use cookies, standard browser cookie controls do not affect it. However, Plausible does honour browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) headers. Enabling DNT in your browser will cause Plausible to exclude your visits from its statistics.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies we use. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If we introduce new cookie categories that require your consent, we will seek that consent through our cookie preference centre.
